LITTLE THEATRE The words of Epictetus, Practice yourself in little things, and thence proceed to greater , have been the motto of the Little Theatre since its inception. Originally organ- ized on a small scale to give those students interested in the theatre an opportunity to display their talents as well as to foster in the school a liking and appreciation of things dramatic, it stands today fully developed. From merely a group whose expectations reached no further than interesting and instructive meetings, it has grown to be the main source of material for auditorium programs, not only supplying student speakers, but one-act plays for entertainment. The Little Theatre has adopted the one-act play as the most fitting medium for the expression of its aim. Such a medium allows the widest scope for dramatic talent, as well in the number as in the variety of roles. It affords the fullest opportunity for im- provement in stage presence, stage voice, and stage technique. How successful our endeavors have been may be evidenced by the reception afforded the plays presented at various auditorium assemblies, and the response to the shows given to support the various school activities. Page Fifty Il Circolo Italiano Colombo To the first graduating class of Ferris High School, Il Circolo Italiano Colombo' forwards its sincerest wishes of good luck and sure success. 'Alla mente confusa di dubbio e di dolore, soccorri, o mio Signore, col raggio della Fe. -by Giuseppe Guisti. Under the able guidance of Mr. Graziano, the Italian Club has flourished. At each meeting the different committees present varied programs of both educational and enter- taining subjects. Last year the club visited La Casa Italiana in New York. In the future Mr. Graziano hopes to present an evening's entertainment in Italian. The organization has fulfilled its purpose well, that is, to become better acquainted with the culture and achievements of the country whose language they study.
