Vocal music students had a busy year under the direction of Mrs. Marianne Corrigan, who this year accepted the challenge of moving from junior high to high school teaching. In addition to nu- merous school and community con- certs, the choir participated in fund raisers for scholarships. Funds are also used for new music, folders, and cos- tumes. First hour every morning the stage is alive with music as the orchestra drills for its next performance. They may be playing classics by Bach and Handel or swinging with the “pop” sounds of Jim Croce or show tunes, since Director Ms. Linda Puroffs goal is “to further the growth of stu- dents’ musical abilities in the area of popular selections as well as classi- cal.” Orchestra members also busy themselves raising money for their scholarship fund.
