I remember dreamijjg of this night many times. 1 would accept my diploma and then shout to the world that I made it. But now as I'm walking the few steps to the stage it seems to be taking an eternity . All the memories are flashing through my mind. Where have all the years gone? It was just yesterday that 1 came to Ferndale as a freshman filled with anxiety over meeting new faces and wondering if the next four years would ever pass. Before long the anxieties were gone, and it wasn t hard to like the people I met from teachers to classmates. There seemed to be a closeness shared between faculty and students, whether it be victories or defeats, in competition or just a problem in a class. The confusion — renovation of the elementary building. The men are working day and night making the school look like new. In January the elementary students were transferred to the high school. With determination and will power we made it through the confusion. What about summer? The high school will take on a new look. 109 o July 20, 1977: Johnstown was hit with devastating flood waters. Approximately 11.82 inches of rain fell overnight. Two of our districts were hit quite hard Dale and Lorain. A time we'll never forget—the staff wished to provide you with a visual history. School is only Act I of the play. This is the Seniors' grand finale. The underclass and faculty will be called back for an encore. The spotlight will be on each of us at some time. Throughout life we find that we need co-stars, producers and directors. No one person alone can make the show a success. As you begin a new' role remember you're the star — so shine!
