This individual is Mr. George Ambroe. During the past three years we have seen visible proof of his guidance in the presentation of out- standing and long-remembered yearbooks. Be- cause of his infectious sense of humor and unique personality, he has presented himself as a competent and effective instructor. His en- deavors within the field of high school athletics have won him the respect and admiration of the students under his direction. His unselfish ex- penditure of time and energy have not gone un- noticed. The knowledge gained from his ac- quaintance and acquired in his daily classes will remain with the students long after they have departed from the halls of Ferndale Area. As a parting gesture, we the staff wish to honor Mr. George Ambroe, our leader.'' 7 faculty and administration lodpuuj |ooq3S Hb!H t.ssV Xq6iy pjoipia jyv lodpuijj |ooi|DS Hb!H Sja6poy pjoipiy jw 01 •9UO J9A9 stqauaq L|DiqAA uoqcDnpa jo uioj6ojd o 6uinui( -U03 XI9A.P9119 JOj papuaiuiuco aq Ot aJD 0.34 0 |Ooqaj asaqj. -Xnuap!Wa a(!nb saqnp soouoa puo swojBojd s.,ooqaS aq) S96DUDUJ uouDqs.u. po jno 'iDdpuud |OoqaS q6,H .UO.S.SSV 'XqB.a pjoqap) puo '|odpuud |OoqaS q6!H BP° 111 w0Ji sauDiStsso aiqomoA q„M JOaX poqas aq4 tnoqBnoqt jnaao |oq4 su.9|q0Jd sno.awnu 6uia,os u, P!o o, Ui.q a|qoua a6pa|Mou ( puo aauauadxa asoqM uotu o si 6u.|UinJ9 xj 'uoqoanpa ,o udj a pajiionb-HOM V 6u n f JQJ -pupd eJiLdns M3U o pauiotqo soq oa -appujad 'ui9)sXs ,ooqas jno ui saBuoqa aAqo iuiuipD |DJ9Aas jo sV UOltDJtSjUIUJpV lodiauijj buisiAjadns buqujnjQ nassnjj jq NOiivaisiNiwav Mrs. Emma Koerber Mrs. Lillian Fay Mrs. Judy Kirkpatrick Mrs. Mildred House Working diligently and efficiently, putting forth their best efforts in assisting our school principals, our secreta- ries play an important role in the smoothly running operation of our school system. A new addition to the Ferndale school this year is our staff of teachers' aides. Through their cooperation and hard work they have proved to be a most worthwhile addition to our school. All of these fine and capable women certainly deserve much recognition and credit for their fine achievements. II BOARD OF EDUCATION To the members of the Board of Education has fallen the responsibility of directing the entire operation of our Ferndale-Area High School system. Working diligently and often without recognition, the men of this board devote much time and effort to giving us the best education available. Without the worthwhile endeavors of these dedicated individuals, our efficient school system would not exist. We wish to con- gratulate our Board of Education for a job well done. Thank you. As the year of 1968 brings our high school career to a close, those cherished memories of school days will long remain unforgettable and priceless. 22 Twelve years ago we set our feet upon the long and tired path of learning. Now we have reached the end of that path and have truly acquired a state of knowledge. Something we have also acquired . . . memories. This is the last time we can do many things, but most important of all is ... it is the last time to be proud of being a student at Ferndale Area High School. 1968 Advisors: Mr. Bailey, Miss Roger, Mr Ambroe, Miss Muro. One of the highest honors that can be bestowed upon a high school student is membership in the National Honor Society. These students must achieve an out- standing record in the four standards of the National Honor Society which are character, scholarship, leadership, and service. To attain membership in the Honor Society, a student must maintain a 3.1 average in his junior year and a 2.75 aver- age in his senior year. Senior members conduct a service each year to induct stu- dents who have met these high qualifications. 102 OFFICERS Sec. - M. Wissinger; Vice-Pres. - D. White,- Pres. — J. Rogers, Treos. — S.
