PLUS ners-Boswell, Westmont, and several private prep schools. Teachers came from many area schools, too. Much was accomplished in the classes, along with the making of new acquaintances and meeting new' teachers. Ten students were able to receive their diplomas from their respective high schools as a result of this program. It is hoped that Ferndale-Dale can continue this successful summer school program in the future. 19

V C' „nu u(d nv At some schools the last day is a sign for a period of rest, but at Ferndale-Dale it's a signal for the beginning of summer school. This year there was an enrollment of 543 students— more than any previous year. Some classes had to be held in the teachers’ room and girls' locker room in order to accommodate the large number of pupils. Students came from all over the area and two were from Florida.
