In the classroom, our teachers offer us opportunities to develop our “real world” knowledge. Our roles as students are diverse. We may be asked to work as a group; sharpening our listening skills and our abilities to cooperate and verbalize with each other as human beings with a common goal. The second act of this production called high school encompasses, for most students, the varied clubs, activities, and sports offered at Enrico Fermi High School. Each role played, be it a class officer, a team member or captain, a fundraiser, or a group leader, adds to our sense of responsibility and to our knowledge of the word commitment. In order for any group or team to be successful, each member must learn to rely on others and vice versa. Dedication to a job well done - the production of a literary magazine, a winning football season, a well run ski trip, or a smooth flowing rendition of a new song in band, requires each member to do his or her part. 9
