DEDICATION A Winner Makes Commitments A Loser Makes Promises The class of 1983 is pleased to announce the dedication of the Traces yearbook to Miss Rosemary Sullivan. Our class is grateful and honored to have her as a member of our high school community. Miss Sullivan has been a physical education teacher and coach at Fermi since 1974. As a coach, she asks her teams only to give their best. She is as dedicated to her teams as they are to her. Along with game strategy, Miss Sullivan also instructs her teams in self- discipline, desire, and pride. She is thoughtful enough at each season ' s end to give special, individual trophies and awards to the athletes who try a little harder, and comic awards to those who ap- peal to her sense of humor. The success of her teams can be at- tributed to her personal philosophy: The degree of success is deter- mined by the members of the team. By her own definition, Miss Sullivan is a success at Fermi. Besides coaching. Miss Sullivan has volunteered her services to other school functions. She has advised the Student-Faculty Senate, has sold tickets to the football games, and has aided in the organiza- tion of the graduation ceremony. She is always ready to lend a hand when needed; her benevolent dedication can be seen in her eagerness to devote extra time to talk, to help, to coach. Miss Sullivan ' s enthusiasm, effort, desire, and dedication are an in- spiration to the class of 1983, and she exemplifies for us the way life should be lived. She has prepared us for the future by demonstrating the need for us to unselfishly donate our time and our talents to out- side interests and by emphasizing the value of one who is able to make and keep commitments. As a Physical Education teacher, she has stressed the importance of active bodies as well as alert and dynamic minds. We, the class of 1983, wish to thank Miss Sullivan for all she has done for us.
