It is with great pleasure and pride that I congratulate, and at the same time, bid farewell to the Class of 1979. I sincerely hope that our teaching has been an inspiration to you, and that the knowledge you have gained will be of value as you go out into the world and meet the challenges of life. We have worked closely with you in the classroom, on the athletic field, and in your various co-curricular activities You have lived through an exciting period of your life. No problems of the future should discourage you permanently if you will face them. However, from now on you will be on your own in the acquisition of wisdom for yourself. I encourage each of you to give your ambition and dedication to each task you put your hand to, and success will be yours.
