FOREIGN LA NG UA GE DEPARTMENT Mr. Raymond Mercik, Department Head The Foreign Language Department realizes the importance of being bi-lingual in today’s ever changing world. In recognition of this, we offer all students sequential programs in French, German, Italian and Spanish where they can study the language, literature, culture, and history of these lan- guages. Listening, speaking, reading and writing are done at all levels in varying degrees of em- phasis. Latin has been included in our curriculum once again as students seek a better cultural understanding of classical antiquity and its im- plications in our present world.
