MR. ANTHONY TORRE PRINCIPAL Graduation is a time of mixed emotions. There is sadness because we are saying goodbye to students, most of whom we may not see again; there is happiness because these same students are taking their proper place in society and exercising their human right to individuality. In my heart I feel both apprehension and hope. I am apprehensive of the mountains each graduate must climb and the rivers each must ford — the mountains and rivers of living. At the same time I am hope- ful that in some way I have been able to touch your lives so as to make your journey meaningful and productive. At graduation, students and educators alike realize their close at- tachments and the effect of a meaningful teacher-student relationship. In the light of this realization and because I care deeply about you, I sincerely wish you success, and I pray for God’s blessings upon you. Anthony Torre Principal 12

ENGLISH The English program is designed to meet student needs and interests. Each year a quarter course in writing is required of every student; in addition, he selects three quarter courses from a large number of electives. The many available choices permit the student to prepare for his post-high school plans and also to take additional courses in any area of English which is of interest to him. . . .
