RIDING CLUB iQT President . ..... . JOAN DEMPSEY MEMBERS WISSIE WEST, LOUISE CLARK, LEILA CI-IADBOURNE. NEW MEMBERS ,JEAN FRASER, DIANA VVING, FUZZY WILBERN. The purpose of the Fcrmata Riding Club is to promote riding and to strive for a greater knowledge of horses and horsemanship, and to help the less ex- perienced riders in all possible ways. The club enforces riding regulations and club rules, and establishes a standard of unity and sportsmanship. Each year there are tryouts for membership, open to any Fermata student. These trials include a demonstration of the contestants' riding ability and a written test drawn up by the Riding Club with the riding master's help. This year the Riding Club again put on a Gymkhana, in which most of the 1'id61'S in school, as well as many people outside, participated. The funds from this were donated to charity. On the whole the year was a great success and we are looking forward to many more.
