It will bring back memories of days of enjoyment, success and attainment as well as those of trial. l sincerely hope the years you have spent here in our schools Q have given you a spirit of obligation and hope for the years ahead. This splendid community of ours reflects the varied philosophies of its citizens. Your school and other community agencies have contributed to your philosophy. It will now be your responsibility to safeguard the right of future generations to be recipients of like philosophies free from your own prejudice, bias or malice. p. Under the direction of their new director, Al Jacobs, the 104 piece band took part in the half-time demonstration of the home football games. They traveled to Wahpeton to take in the last football game of the season, where they were guest performers during halftime. They also participated in the local parades, the music festival at Moorhead, convocations, Christmas concert and played an important role in the spring instrumental concert. Ummm This year's orchestra had the unique honor of appearing before the State School Board Convention in St. Paul and playing for the St. Louis Park High School in Minneapolis. The seventy-three members of the orchestra under the direction of Mr. Frank Hedlund practiced very hard to achieve perfection on such numbers as Shepherd King Overture, Symphony Miniature, Gavotte, and Bourree by Bach. The orchestra also appeared before such groups as P.T.A., Kiwanis, junior and Senior High School, and participated in two formal concerts. .V L' qv 1 S si! , M.-i - .. , M11 ,.-5.--11.
