National Merit Scholarship Qualifying Test CPSATINMSQTD. Then, 35,000 students are commended for their excellent performance on the PSATXNMSQT. Each commended student receives a Letter of Com- mendation through hisfher high school principal. An even more select ' - mf ga?-Y ,,t., .. M , 4. , ,dx .- group of 15,000 students are named Semifinalists. Semiflnalists complete ii an application containing biographical, academic, and extracurricular in- 5' e ' n Finalists are then chosen from the Semifinalists on the basis of formatio . their applications, high school academic record, their performances on - the SAT and ACT tests which are given in the spring of their junior year, and several other factors. This year, Fenwick has produced 11 Commended students and 6 Semifina- lists from the members of its Senior class.
