Den horse and Gene Luna made honorable mentlon on the All State Team And perhaps one of the greatest honors to come to thas great team was the honor of Kavdng thelr head coach, Mr. Sam Morehead, named Coach of the Year in the Holland Sentinnel rea. The '58 Hawks set a stage and pattern for future teams to str1ve for. The '58 roster included a good corps of juniors and a fine all around grcun of sophomores. Several prom 1s1ng freshmen cause Co-Captalns Gene Luna and Roger Tlffany to feel they can lead the Black- hawks to 9- F1fle '59.
