C. G. STUCKY October 8, 1905 October 30, 1956 Out of the infinite we come, tarry for a space, to live, to labor, and to love, and pass on into the infinite whence we come. On the morning of October 30th we wereshocked and saddened to leam of the sudden passing of Mr. Clarence Stucky, who had served our school as mathematics instructor, counselor, and friend for tweity-three years. Born in Fennimore, Wisconsin, onOctober 8, 1905,he received his elementary and secondary education in our school system and was graduated from Platteville Normal School where he re- ceived his B.E. degree. For six years he taudit in Soldiers Grove before transferring to Fenni- more. I-Lis teaching career was interrupted when he was called to serve his conmtry during world War IL As an ardent ex-serviceman he labored faithfully and devotedly for the American Legion where his loss will be felt deeply. Within our own halls his colmsel will no morebeheard, yet his wisdom and love shall continue to guide and sustain us in all our endeavors. We can never forget our associations with him. And to live in the hearts of those we leave behind is not to die. To glimpse beyond the sunset The brightness of the dawn- To trust in God's own promise That life goes on and on- To look to Him for comfort And lean on Him each day will bring the deep abiding peace That cannot pass away.
