Lucky people. 22 Marilyn Wetter chosen to represent Fennimore at Badger Girls' State. 25 Missionary from HongKong talked on Communism in China. 29 Junior Prom. I Love Paris - theme. Beautiful. May 2 Music Festival Concert. Are they good. 4 Classes shortened. Students helped clean up Marsden Park. 7 Music Festival at Lancaster. We took A's in everything. 14 State Music Festival. We were well represented. 11 Henry Zifka chosen baseball captain for 1955. 12 F.H.S. wins SWAL baseball championship by beating Cuba City in play-off. 22 Baccalaureate. 23 Award Day. 24 Class Night. It's funny - and 1t's sad. 26 Commencement. It's sad. 27 F.H.S. wins Sectional Tournament. hoopee - school is out. August29 Registration. Here we go again. Sept. 2 Cheer leader try-outs. Wetter,Petr1ck,Hanson,end Goss. Monroe,Loehndorf. 12 Classes elect officers and Council members. 26 First of three installments of Knute Rockne movie shown during noon hour. Oct. 4.Poor Freshmen. On this day they were initiated into F.H.S. 5 Lucky us. No school. Platteville Teachers' Convention. 6 Homecoming elections. See pictures for results. 15 Homecoming pep rally and bonfire. Karen Stout crowned Queen. 14 Scoreless tie in game with Cuba City. Big dance. Grand time. 21 Best football game of the ylarg we had Boscobel beaten till the last sg minutes. Then we lost 9 to 6. Boo hoo. 28 What a game - scoreless tie - with LANCASTER. Fennimore mourns the deaths of Danny Howell and Jackie Adams who were killed in a car accident. Jerry Pease,C1alre Adkins, and Henry Fuerstenberg hurt. Nov.2,3,4 Teachers' Convention in Milwaukee. We really have a long week-end. 11 Armed Forces' Day program. Then more classes. 14 Students see one-act play nCa1l Me Million prepared for Parents' Night. 15 Open House. we wonder what our teachers said to our parents,and vice versa. 22 Home Economics classes entertain the whole student body at tea. Umm mm 25 TWIRP Dance. Girls get a chance to ask the boys for a change. Best ever. 24-25 Thanksgiving vacation. Guess we all need it. 25 Drescher Memorial Concert. A beautiful tribute to a wonderful man. 28-50 Will Ro ers' Story was shown during the noon hours. Dec. 5 eer ea ers a tend conference at Lancaster. 10 Music Mothers sponsor a dance. Our Ben-sations are terrific. 20 Student Council puts on Christmas party. Thanks. Vacation begins. 1956 Jan.11-13 Exams. Need I say more? 17 Marilyn Wetter receives the D.A.R. Citizenship award. 18 Report cards. Do we dare take them home? Feb. 24 No school - icey roads. What a pleasant thing to have happen. 27 Cartoonist Don Trachte entertains - and I mean entertains. Zifka and Kephart are elected basketball captains by the squad. First call for seniors to try out for parts in the class play S ri Fever. March 3 Twelve A's out of sixteen entrants in League Speech Contest at ancas er - I guess we have the best speech department around - except Camp1on,maybe. 7 Whole school attends movie of Shakespeare's Julius Caesar downtown. Feb.29 - March 1 - Sub-Regional Tournament at Femimo en't in lt. March 3 Fennimore is scene of sub-regional play-off, Cuba beats DeFarge. 12 Juniors elect Prom Court: John Heberlein is King. 15 Platteville State College presents interesting program. 15-17 State Basketball Tournament. Some time we'll be in there playing. 17 Seven of our twelve representatives earned A ratings at the District Speech 19 Contest at Platteville. They go on to the State Contest.
