Boo hoo. 28 What a game - scoreless tie - with LANCASTER. Fennimore mourns the deaths of Danny Howell and Jackie Adams who were killed in a car accident. March 3 Twelve A's out of sixteen entrants in League Speech Contest at ancas er - I guess we have the best speech department around - except Camp1on,maybe. 7 Whole school attends movie of Shakespeare's Julius Caesar downtown. Feb.29 - March 1 - Sub-Regional Tournament at Femimo en't in lt. March 3 Fennimore is scene of sub-regional play-off, Cuba beats DeFarge. 12 Juniors elect Prom Court: John Heberlein is King. 15 Platteville State College presents interesting program. 15-17 State Basketball Tournament. Some time we'll be in there playing. 17 Seven of our twelve representatives earned A ratings at the District Speech 19 Contest at Platteville. They go on to the State Contest. State Farmers American GARY JOHN GRAHAI GEORGE COTTINGHAM PORTER At the State Convention of the F.F.A. in June,1955, these three Fennimore boys were given the State Farmer degree. DARRELL PORTER A good all-round dairy program won for Darrell one of the five awards given by the State Holstein-Friesian Association. One boy in each of the five sections of the state is recognized for his outstanding work. FREDERICK HEBERLEIN Wisconsin has an F.F.A. membership of over 14,000. Only 21 of this number are granted American Farmer honors. Chapters may propose one candidate for each 25 members, but the require- ments are so high that frequently a school will have no eligible boys. Fred is Fenn1more's third American Farmer. Since the chapter was organized, lalcolm Hiller and ,in 1948, Stanley Davies received the coveted award. Sponsored by J. W. Imprints of a sheep,cow,and swine indicated the respective major fields of interest of these three boys. The other seven boys shown were given chevrons to wear with the official letters they received last yearg they completed their second year of 100 or more earned points. Douglas Gunderson and Ralph Wienkes earned the F.F.A. letter for accumulating at least 100 points for the first time.
