Very impressive ceremony. 21-Skit competition-all too good to be judged. Each class had a float in the parade. Biggest pep rally ever. 22-Homecoming. F.H.S. over Mineral Point-Everyone was there. wonderful dance- Sylvia Jones and Bill Zart reigned. 29-Lancaster ties Fennimore. Oh, what a game. November, 195k 1-Assembly on air defense. Let's all join Ground Observer Corps. 2-Malcolm Miller Memorial Assembly. Mr. woll thanks the family for landscaping around F.H.S 0 3-Dismiss at noon for Milwaukee Convention. Hip Hip Hooray, Zi days off. 8-Two Air Observer films. Guess 1111 sign up. ll 10 - :OO a.m. Veteranfs Day program, nLest we Forget.N 4 2:00 Pvmn Ozzie the Saftey Clown. real George. -Parents' night. Parents become students. Now they get the lowdown. -Basketball-F.H.S. over Mt. Hope. Overtime. wow! -Movie, report cards, and Thanksgiving vacation. Quite a day. -Bloomington under F.H.S.-53-TH. December, 195k l-Movie in a.m. An exchange student tells us about his M months' stay in rural France. The girls took an interest. I wonder why. 7-Letter Club elects officers. Nelson, Zifka, and Fuerstenberg. 8-Seniors choose announcements. what a batth - as usual. 9-Seniors take an aptitude test. Apt to do anything. 10-F.H.S. at Darlington. we won't tell who won-only 58-51, though. 12 18 23 30 -Our dance band plays for public dance sponsored by the Music Mothers. Smooth. -News reel. Pep rally. Mount Horeb takes Fennimore. BooHoo. -Two short plays are presented. Miss Rothe directs. Swellelegant. 21- Music rogram. Movie. Treat by Council. Vacation. MERRY CHRISTMAS. January, 1955 3-School again--good things never last. 10-F.H.S. squeezes by Dodgeville S6-Sh after loseing to Patch Grove and Boswbel ll 16-F.H.A. party for F.F.A. Swell time. Why donlt we do this more often? 17 20 12-Semester exams-Here's hoping we make it-it doesnlt look hopeful. lu-Lyceum program-Magician-Mysterious. Mineral Point loses to our Midgets. 19-Report cards-Guess I'll have to sit the next few out. 21-We lose to Lancaster-Record dance after game - lots of fun. 2?-Group pictures taken for annua. Camera and Dash bulb difficulty-no wonder. 2 -DAR candidates nominated by seniors-Joan Roth, Elaine Shea, and Judy Becker. Faculty names Elaine Shea. February, 1955 M-F.H.S. at Mt. Horeb. We take a shellacking. ll-Lincoln day nradion program by Student Council-also washington and Edison. 15-Magazine drive begins. The Grades have the jump on us. Seniors vote to go to Chicago instead of Dells for class trip. -Style show and tea for Womanvs Club and Mothers. Lovely. -F.H.S. at Mineral Point. we did it again--90-81. -New Council members elected. Scanlan, Hoffland, Clarson, and Ronan. -Playoff at Dodgeville for sectional tournament berth. F.H.S. over Mineral Point by 1 point. We're ini 22-F.F.A. Banquet. Quite a spread - Quite an outfit! 2h-First eliminations in forensics. In humorous declamation Howell, James, Kincannon, and Petrick survive. In serious declam, Fritz, S.Miller, P.Roth, and Solem are still in there. March, 1955 3-Report cards. Not quite so bad - but no good. Charles Mapel-glass blower. Fascinating. See samples in the trophy case. M-Regional Tournament at Fennimore. Richland Center wins our half of sectional. Prairie consolation. 5-Platteville beats Center for right to enter Tournament at Boscobel next week. Lancaster wins consolation honors. 7-More forensic eliminations. Final contestants here next week are-Serious- Fritz,Solem3 Extemp. Speaking-Gunderson,Dale Secherg Humorous-Buddy Howell, Petrickg Extemp. Reading-J.Kirschbaum, Roetheg 10 min.Oratory-Michel, Gerald O'Brien3 Original Oratory-Fitzgerald. 8-Athletic Banquet - Quite a deal. Kiwanis pay, Home Ec. girls work, Mr. Ruste 16 17 18 21

Senior boys' and girls' basketball teams win class tournaments. senior Class sponsors bake sale. Chicago here we come. Platteville wins sectional tournamentg goes to State Meet. Gary Biddick, lucky fellow, wins magazine drive drawing - gets the cloc radio. Patsy Stepper was high salesman. Junior Class elects gentlemen of the Prom Court: Farris, Kreul, Hoffland, Cauffman, and Ellis. who will be the lucky, lovely ladies! Fennimore, host to League Forensic contestants, takes 9 of 19 A's given. Most of the seniors accept invitation to spend day at Platteville State College. They'd even go to college to get out of a day in school. F.F.A. speech and quartet contest at F.H.S. OOOOOOHMHHHI Boys! Congratulations to Mr. Ben. and his musicians - lh starred A's in solo or ensemble work at the Music Festival at Lancaster. Lancaster wins the southwest wisconsin volleyball tournament at F.H.S. Four of our nine contestants in District Speech Contest win their way to the State Contest. Good going, kids. Fitzgerald, Secher,Gunderson, and Roethe. Out at 2:00 o'clock to see Grade School operetta.
