IOHN E. SENEY MR. SENEY'S ADVISORY coUNc1L i ' XX ur iqfincqaa Have you ever noticed a quiet-looking, unassuming man Walking through the halls not saying much, but stopping occasionally to smile and nod to a passing teacher or a group of students? That man who likes the simple things in lite is our principal, lohn E. Seney. Mr. Seney has been at Fenger for about three years and during that time he has tried to bring the faculty and student body closer together. The pro- duction, Kicks and Kapersn staged by the faculty, which we all remember, is a perfect example ot his aim. This aim for better relations and a friendlier atmosphere is not his only one. Mr. Seney has always strived to make Fenger stand out scholastically as well as in athletics. He has always tried through his warm interest and cooperation to prepare Fenger students today, tor their achievements tomorrow. Although he may not realize it, the graduates and the remaining stu! dents appreciate all that Mr. Seney has ever done tor them.

DAVID HOLMES MARIE MCCUTCHEON MARY C. OWENS NORA B. STEVENSON Not Pictured MYRA WHITWORTH Many students must have seen DAVID HOLMES and not realized thai he was our swimming coach. Mr. Holmes came to Fenger from Austin High School in 1947. Although he was at Fenger only three years his presence will be missed. Fenger has again bid farewell to a teacher who marched from the Old Curtis to the New Fenger. MARIE MCCUTCI-IEON was assigned to Fenqer in 1922, taught until 1938 and was loaned to the Bureau of Curriculum for nine years. She returned to Fenger in 1947 and resigned in December, 1950. Many people will miss the quiet understanding personality of Marie McCutcheon. MARY C. OWENS was transferred to Fenger from Harper High School in 1939. She was a prominent figure in our language department, and flavored Spanish grammar with stories of the beauties of Spain and Mexico. All who knew Miss Owens were fond ot her and hope she is enjoying her well deserved rest. One of Fenger's most colorful personalities has retired. NORA B. STEVEN- SON transferred to Fenger from Lindblom High School in 1932. The Mount Vernon Branch will not be the same without Miss Stevenson's quaint humor and friendly manner. We lost another fine teacher this year, MYRA WHITWORTI-I. Mrs. Whit- worth was assigned to Fenger in 1926. She too injected a novel twist into her Spanish classes by teaching songs and telling stories of the places she had visited. We all shall miss her enthusiastic teaching spirit. jA052 Ao alle QPU? 5

MARY D. L'ORANGE ROSELLA BEEGAN SARAH SCHMID ELEANOR CAMPBELL Adidfanf princqaa Do you hear that hearty laugh echoing through the halls? That is our assistant principal, Mr. Iohn I. Kehoe. Mr. Kehoe is the big, friendly man with that mischievous look in his eyes, always ready to laugh at the tragedies ot everyday life. Mr. Kehoe has the difficult task of making up the class programs each semester, as our students well know. Therefore, each semester he is busy talk- ing to students, teachers, and counselors, trying to fit classes, studies and activities for three thousand people into nine peri- ods a day. We are proud of the job you're doing, Mr. Kehoe. IOHN I. KEHOE
