Education is by no means limited to preparing for life because even tho many of our educational activities do strive to prepare us for more effective later life, countless others of these activities do lead us to pursue a better and more useful life today. Try to find time each day to gain some new ideas and knowledge, to learn some new skill or to add perfection to some old skill, to practice better ways of doing and finer ways of thinking and acting, to train yourself to select what is good and wholesome, and above all, try to find the desire and the ability to use these things now to improve yourself and the place in which you find yourself. Remember always: life is long but we live it iust a minute at a time. ,fi ,Q JQAW

To the Seniors, 1949: Dear Young People: Three things arc certain in life — death, taxes, change. The latter is demonstrable in our agriculture, industry, education, and social relations. Kaleidoscopic changes call for kaleidoscopic adjustments. We have made them. This law of change, and our adjustment to that change, is God's way of revealing to us the wonders of His universe. Thus, my message to you in this Courier is that you will ever be aware of the certainly of change; that you will continue to develop the habit of looking for change, the ability to analyze that which you will encounter through life and, above all, that you will learn the simple lesson of adjustment to that change. It is my sincere hope that Fenger has given you the ideals for meeting the changing society in which you find yourselves. I wish you well. In the future, as this Courier recaptures the memories of your dearest days, we shall watch your progress and happiness in this changing world. Principal, oln Seneij Sincerely you' JOHN E. SENEY 19
