Dr. Lafayette Parker, a graduate of Fayetteville State Teachers College, Class of ' 42, has served since that time as a member of the faculty, except for the time spent in the armed services (1942-46), where he obtained the rank of Captain. He has served as professor of education, director of alumni affairs and placement, and since 1957, as Dean of the College. Dr. Parker received the Ed. D. Degree from the University of Pittsburgh in 1957. Aside from his asidious schedule, he finds time to enjoy his family which includes his charming wife, Eunice Sharpless Parker, and daughter, Euinicia Faye. We, the members of the yearbook staff, expressing the sentiments of the en- tire college family, humbly dedicate this edition of the Fayettevillian to you because of all that you have given and endured for your Alma Mater, your wonderful person- ality, your remarkable values of life, and your benevolence to everyone. May you live long, and may your admiration, loyalty, and concern for Fayette- ville State Teachers College be perpetuated through the years. PEPICATI NI Alumnus of the Year--1959-60
