Three ycars ago in September of 1956. our class entered Fayetteville Senior High School as hesitant and self-conscious sophomores beginning the difficult road to Seniorhood. By September of the following year when we entered F. H. S. again, as juniors this time, we had gained more assurance and a sense of belonging. Finally, in September of 1958. we eagerly approached the portals of F. H. S, to begin our last year of high school as con- fident seniors. On becoming seniors we as- sumed ce1'tain responsibilties as well as privileges belonging to all seniors of the past and future. During this, our last year, we have tried to live up to the standa1'ds set by classes before us and to make advances of our own. In these three years of work and play. we have been laying the foundations on which to build our future. Looking back. we are thank- ful to our teachers whose patience and dili- gence have been an inspiration to us all, In this 1959 Lafamac are recorded some of the high lights of our high school career. and now, with mixed emotions we look ahead to graduation. For us this is the finale to our high school life and the prologue to our future, With these thoughts and expectations. we present to you our 1959 Lafamac. Annetta D.
