To THE CITIZENS or FAYETTEVILLE: Wlieii we seniors of Fayetteville High School look back, we recall the joyous twelve-year period in which we were learning to become responsible citizens. To some of us it has been a Period of success, to others, a period in which much more could have been accomplished. For many years it has been the line American heritage that boys and girls have a ehanee to attend a public school. We of this graduating class would like to give you, the citizens of Fayetteville, our heart-felt thanks for the modern, million- dollar high school which we have attended. Through the guidance of a splendid, understanding faculty and administra- tion, we have grown sociallv, phvsicallv, academieallv, and morallv. Though in leaving we have a sense of regret, we feel privileged to have at- tended the Fayetteville Senior High School and realize that we must forge ahead into our field of endeavor. For some of us it will be college, for many boys, the armed servicesg for the others, a job immediately after graduation.
