Cllmberlq U . Fayetteville, N lc lbmry A sense of comradeship is characteristic of high school seniors who have coped Hd County P by Ofth Carolina with mutual problems, overcome irksome barriers and who now stand ready to open the door into the uncertain future. This feeling of unity is accentuated by the realization that a known and loved phase of life is soon to end and that an unfamiliar one with new responsibilities, new associations, new pleasures, and new outlook will begin. The Class of '48, then, feels the need of some permanent testimony, an enduring record, of their hopes and ideals, their struggles and achievements, their friends and good times, their serious and their joyous mo- ments. The purpose of the LaFc1mac is to furnish just such a record. Providing a memory book to be treasured always, honoring the outstanding among us, making the year 1947-1948 live again-its stirring times, its familiar faces, and a1l-fulHll- ing the tradition of this yearbook, we present the 1948 LaFamac in Blue and White.
