Q -at THIS WAS THE YEAR when Careers Day gave students the opportunity to get a etter understanding of various careers. Play Day was one of the best and U Than Myint came all the way from Burma to study the FHS school system. Singers Ellis, Ellis and Newbern were a big part of the Fair Tour, Q and the magazine drive again created competitive spirit and made David Wilson one of the high salesmen. On EB Day, many Fayetteville business- men became better acquainted with the school. Honors Day was, as always, a special event, as was the Christmas par- ty sponsored by the Student Council.

i 'ir 1 ,W , xi 1 1. it gf, THIS WAS THE YEAR that Miss Boggs' home room won the volleyball intramural championship and celebrated with a feast Once again buying lunch tokens was a usual home room ritual and courtesy was emphasized in helping new students, such as Charlene Smith. In the classroom Arnold and Holtzen proved positive an ex- periment in physics. McNair's tumblers showed coordination and agility in their original pyramids. This was the year the browsing corner of the library became an increasingly popular spot.
