0 0 CALENDAR 0 0 SEPTEMBEI' 2 The doors of dear old F H S swung wide herildlng the start of another school year 16 17 Rides on the ferns wheel and free picture shows remind us all of the Fall Festival and the two afternoons we got out of school for It 26 Posters and campaign speeches hailed the election of student body officers more power to them 26 27 The Falcons began their sports season by winning the sub regional base b ill tourney held at the park yes I said biseball OCTOBER 7 After a ride of some 180 odd miles in a crowded bus the baseball team trled their best but were defeated in the Green City regional 27 Anchors Aweigh as the student council presented their assembly in ob se rvance of Navy Day 30 In spite of a drenchmg rain the Juniors sponsored a successful Hallowe en NOVEMBER 7 Our social season began with a bang remember the Sadie Hawkins d1nce 11 Armistice Day and we assembled in study hall to hear President Roosevelt 17 And now basketball' The Falcons and Wrens began their season by win ning 1 double header from Harrisburg The Senior High boys won 29 to 15 the Jun xor High 23 20 20 Turkey and spice and everything UICC plus a holiday from school 26 Hopefully we followed the Falcon to the Glasgow tournament to see them beat Brunswick 30 to 10 in the first game 27 Thursday night we smashed Wright City 44 to 27 29 Glasgovi again and what a day' We came out victorious over Gilliam 25 to 22 in the semi finals only to have Glasgow keep us from winning the first place by three points Suffering our first defeat we came home determined to put Glasgow on the bottom side of the score 24 to 27 or die trying CSee Dec 191 i387 L . .1 I X' ' ..
