We, the youth comprising the student body of Father Ryan High School, have the unenviable distinction of belonging to a generation born of war, and our only victory will be in a realization of world peace. The human race is passing through one of its greatest crisis. 'lihere are new issues, new ideas a new call for inen to carry on their work through righteousness, courage, charity, a11d faith in their God. When the years have passed, and we are in the winter of life, and when memory recalls this, let it say to us: That was a great inoinent. It was the beginning of a new era. . . The world in its need called for nien of insight, unsellishness, justice, and bravery. We answered that call to the limits of our ability. Through study, prayer, and countless labors towards the Eternal Goal, we gave the substance of our lives to our Creator . In the pages to follow, we shall relive many of those precious moments which we have experienced together during the years 1956-1957 at Father Ryan.
