ENGLISH II Sister M. Maurice emphasizes study and evaluation of various English techniques to Thomas Tabolt and Marilyn Martin in English II. JUNIOR CLASS OFFICERS Treasurer ............ Thomas Dowling Vice-President . . .... Alice Larget Moderator . . . . Sister M. Maurice President . . . .Charles Tabolt Secretary ............... Jane Nortz Our Jtmior year symbolizes one very important event for us. We have finally earned the symbol of achievement, a class ring. Our past years have been important in that they have left us with cotmtless memories which are forgotten and re- newed, but the living proof of eleven years of loyalty to Fa- ther Leo Memorial School is in the gold ring with the blue stone. We justly pride ourselves not in the ring itself but the hard work and perseverance on the part of the students and teachers who merited it for us. LATIN II Sister M. Maurice in her Latin II class ac- quaints sophomores Marcia Kohler, De- borah Houppert, Kathleen Kir schner, Lu- anne Zehr, and Marilyn Martin with the various contributions ancient Rome made to civilization. LATIN I Donald Buckingham and Doris Meyer, freshmen, learn the traditions of Roman civilization through the assistance of Sister Maurice in her Latin I class. II

ALGEBRA I Sister M. Natalina points out the fundamental con- cepts of solving an elementary algebraic problem to freshmen, Bonnie Boliver and Rita Bush. SOPHOMORE CLASS OFFICERS The sophomore class officers from left to right: Deborah Houppert, Vice-President, Kathleen Kirschner, President, Sister M. Natalina, OSF, Moderator, Charles Chartrand, Treasurer, and Thomas Tabolt, Secretary. It was many years ago when we passed through the doors at Father Leo's for the first time. We were quite excited for this was a new, frightening, yet welcome experience. We were entering anew world, that of first grade, wide-awake and eager as any children. The elementary grades passed quickly. Then one day- we walked, hesitantly at first, up the stairs to our new surround- ings, in high school. Soon the routine became easy to follow and it became just the way things are done. Our freshman year passed and this, our sophomore year, came into focus. The Christ- mas Dance, the Operetta, andthe Magazine Drive each have a place in our memoirs for this year. ENGLISH III Sister M. Natalina in English III shows Anthony Ta- bolt and Charles Tabolt that there are many forms of verbs and that synopsis is the most important way to learn the different parts of a verb. I2
