Student Council I was deeply impressed as I sat in on the deliberations of the august govern- ing body of the B-V worldff'-the Student Council. Its purpose is to promote leader- ship, scholarship, and school spiritg in a Word: to make the students better citi- zens of their country. Not the least of its duties is to promote cooperation of stu- dents and faculty. Their responsibilities have been great, and they have acquitted themselves well of our trust in their ability They have represented B-V in its rela- tions with the other worlds of our exist- ence. The brave voiced our opinions at the regular sessions of the Catholic-Inter- High-School Student Council as well as at other student conferences of NVQ-stern New York such as the Teenage Confer- ences on Youth and the Family. BQ' 519013 are lzffle fboziv Jim Smith, Jean Gannon, Nancy Rebl, Student Council oflti cers who made the approval of our constitution possible. Ilere is part of that hrain trust that kept the Student Coun- cil n orkint Tom Scmanehm ll lrh Fitzgerald, Jim Smith, Proverb Sister St. James, and Jean Gannon.
