Ifrom an embryo of frolicking Freshmen the Senior class emerges as good athletes better 'U scholars, and the best of leaders. As they . . . 1 Q5 ffiggg il Class Tree take a breather from thcir vc ry busy B-V world here is some of the fun they had in the past four years. 1957. SLIIllII10I',S over nowg it's the first day of school. Father Baker and OLV are for the first time one.,' They assemble in the gym and get assigned to their homerooms. Everything's so different. They all cherish First Friday Blass in the Basilica where they become ever closer to Our Dear Lord and His Blessed lllother. Finally they belong to the upper crust- they're Juniors now. A new world is opened to them as they begin to look ahead. This year really is the school's year of glory. Timon is beaten in basketball and the team takes third place in the Manhattan Cup Play-offs. what a gameg what a team! The days are going faster and faster now, and their first prom is being planned, the Stardust Serenadef, The big night has finally come. Itis May 15, 1959 at the Knights of Columbus Ilall. They dance on and on and on. A night never to be forgotten. Now it's Sept. 1959 and they're sitting on top of the world. As they say in the halls, 'Tm king and you're nothing! They're now legally permitted to step over the Mason Dixon Line into the Senior Cafeteria. Soon Nov. 10, the day they receive their class rings. They attend Blass in the morning. The whole day is free and then the perfect climax to a perfect day-the Ring Dance. Their days Hy by and before they know it they are thrilled by those Magic Moments at the Statler Hotel. From '56 to '60 their B-V fun world was their Number One VVorld.
