Cross Country Now this is one sport that just interested me to the poi11t of being a spectator. You won,t catch me running over two miles. To tell the truth, I can't. Uur team, however, had winged feet. They only lost one meet. Our Terry Courtney never was beaten in the whole season. YVe're proud of Terry for he is one of the strongest runners in the area. Terry earned All-Catholic honors. Next year we,ll have all but three of the team back. So the one defeat of this season should be errad- icated and a perfect season may be ours. lIere's hoping! Perhaps you didn't follow the teams winning schedule, but our B-V runners boosted our world of glory to the top with a first place victory over St. lNIary's of the Deaf and St. lIary,s of Lancaster. Next, came a second place position against Timon. Boy, did we give them a fight for their money that day! The harriers then brought Baker-Vic- tory a pair of wins and a tie with Canisius. Do you realize that the Tirnon race was the only time the Braves relinquished the number one spot. Terry Courtney, Joe Kromer, Bernie McCann and Eddie Ernst seem to have finished only a mile.
