The War stopped, but we have not. One of the first things we did this year was to have a meeting for organization. Miss Sampson, who has proved herself in former years, was again elected president, Miss Stienbrenner was elected treasured and Miss De Blanc sec- retary. Every one was gratly pleasd when we found that there was 10029 mem- bership in the school. The work has been the more enjoyable because we have some definite aim, helping the orphans of the devastated countries. One of the most interesting events of the fall was the Red Cross picnic given at Laurel Park. The day was most suited for the occasion and the forest seemed to have donned its gay colors for the good cause. We cleared more than we had hoped for and it was a greater success than ever before. As soon as we returned from the holidays, we began work on articles for the Bazar. Several of the girls dressed dolls to be raffled. One of our teachers em- broidered most exquisitely, a dainty night gown also to be raffled. Besides, there were many little things that girls love to have. These found eager sale among the students. During the evening, ice cream and cakes were sold. We cleared 3110.00 and were well pleased with the success. We have not yet ceased working and let us hope that we never will li!--ga .P -,, 4.4.5 ' I ll., .- ' ' ' 1 I if El S A.: u 1 Tm lifts 1 i. its 1 L ,J . ig in : is M .11 ?2iJFQ.1TJ-nhm- Ui WI '-0 I K A 1 V 1.-. f ' , Pl ' Q- . dig f -H ,- .
