Perhaps in a magic mirror she Old memories doth regaing Perhaps doth waving alders see And heather in the rain. What wanteth happy Fassifern To make her happier? What distant thing can she discern Which we might give to her? Is it a spray of alder leaves Upon her dress to wear? Is it a sprig of heather bloom To put into her hair? Ah no! It is a Cairn-gorm If truth it must be knowng The royal stone, the cairn-gorm, She yearneth for alone. We yield the precious cairn-gorm All its imputed worthg We know there are no jewels Surpassing it on earth. But, dear, we have no cairn-gorms, We are too poor for themg So we are fain to offer you A humbler gem. There were several of us and We, like Freshmen, had our trials and tribulations. During the year there were athletic features such as, track, basket-ball, etc. We had good times of every description. The next year, we met again, as Sophomores. Oh! But a sad few! Nevertheless, we were a sturdy class, and did our best. During the year, we entertained the Juniors with a dance although they were twice our number. It was in that year that we started our Annual, 'The Sapphiref' Our Junior Class met the following fall when several new members appeared in our midst. We had responsibilities galore, but looked forward eagerly to our Senior year. Near the end of school, we gave the Seniors a banquet which was the first one that had ever been given. Everything went off beautifully, and our class was quite proud to think it had given the first banquet. June came, and with it Commencement. On Class Day, we all assembled in front of the house to witness the presentation of the diplomas to the graduates whose, place We were to take. y In the fall of 1919, we came together for the last time as dignified Seniors preparing to face life's battles. On returning from the Christmas holidays, we moved into our new building '6McBee Hallf' While there, many social functions were enjoyed, among the first being a tea to the faculty. C In May We leave our dear Alma Mater having -spent many happy days Within her walls. We have much for which to thank our principal and teachers, for the h e so kindly given us during the past years.
