Pintar, Principal of Farrell Senior High School. Honored Guests On May 12, 1952, at a six o'clock dinner held in the high school cafeteria, the Farrell School District honored nine professional em- ployees: Superintendent John Hetra, Principal Anthony J. Pintar, Miss Helen Sage, Miss Ann Goidics, Mrs. Margaret Smith, Mrs. May Richards, Miss Mildred Sarcinella, Mrs. Grace Bechtold, and Mrs. Julia Jenkins, who had attained twenty- five years of meritorious service within the past three years. Additional guests at the dinner were the ten employees who had been feted in a similar manner in 1949. They were Mrs. Helen Davis, Mrs. Hannah Lucas, Miss Cecelia Burns, Miss Alice Nicolls, Miss Florence B. Donlin, Mrs. Hazel McCreary, Miss Sarah Cooley, Mrs. Elizabeth Broderick, Miss Esther A. B. Zentz and Mr. George Wetherstein. At the dinner, Miss Leola Phipps, secretary of the Farrell P.S.E.A., gave the address of wel- come. Reverend C. W. Schirmer, pastor of the Grace Lutheran Church, gave the invocation, the closing remarks, and the benediction. During the program held in the gymnasium where all professional employees of the school district were assembled, Miss Alice Nicolls, su- pervisor of elementary education, acted as mas- ter of ceremonies. Dr. Charles R. Cheeks, pastor of the United Presbyterian Church, gave the in- vocation. Mr. Joseph Rotell, president of the Board of Education, presented the diploma ser- vice awards. Miss Suzanne Hetra, vice president of the P.T.A., in behalf of her organization pre- sented the silver service pins to the honored guests. Felix Bonadio, president of the Farrell P.S.E.A., Mrs. Paul Stanton, president of the Far- rell Music Guild, Mrs. Grace Bechtold, and Su- perintendent John Hetra gave interesting re- marks. The following musical program was pre- sented: Robert Szabo, trombone solo, Martha Fritchman, vocal solo, William Amos and Eugene DeMark, trumpet duet, and William Kidd, vocal solo. ln closing the program, Mr. Samuel Cam- pagna led the audience in group singing of Auld Lang Syne and God Bless America .
