A MESSAGE TO FARRAGUT. A ship's Log is the official record of its progress. Often a ship's Log becomes History as time passes and this on the spot record remains. The Farragut Log for 1958 is no exception. Much History is recorded in this book. This year we won our second Blue Football Championship and our third cham- pionship in two years. The Admirals breezed through the schedule with only one tie to mar a perfect record, last year -- following it with a Baseball win. This year it was six wins without a loss or tie until we tied Lindblom in the first round of the playoffs. Lindblom went on, but we share in Lindblom's honors, reaching a new height for Farragut. This year, too, finds the Log taking note of the retire- ment of two of our experienced navigators - Mr. Protts- man, Assistant Principal, and Mr. Stevenson, Log Sponsor, each with a quarter century to his credit. They helped make this school. They represent the spirit of this school, and I have asked them to show you through the Farragut High School.
