This has Ioeen another guiding principIe of the Farragut High SchooI in furnishing opportunities Before Ieaving high schooI, of deveIoping the totaI personaIity and of actuaIIy participating in a democracy. Because of the freedom of choice and of action given Farragut students, each student has a great respon- sihiIity in pIanning his program of studies, in Iearning ahout coIIege opportunities and ahout johs that exist. Because of the opportunities ottered in democratic participation at Farragut through the various organi- zations, such as the Student CounciI, Student Guidance, and Senior Cahinet, and in posts of service through- out the schooI, students are responsiIJIe aIso for identifying themseIves earIy with the Iite of the schooI, for participation in group Iiving now as training for group Iiving in the Iarger democracy outside schooI.
