STUDE T BECOME BETTER CITIZEN This year the Social Studies department at Farragut High School has added a new class. This class is a course in Western Civilization and it is restricted to senior students. New text- books and maps were added to the department as teaching aids. Mrs. Ann Beeler is an instructor in world history and journalism. Mr. Luther Adkins, student teacher, teaches his first class. American Government and sociology are taught by Mrs. Ann Cantrell ? Mr. Atkins led classes in general shop, mechanical drawing, and woodworking. Mr. Joe Atkins checks a drafting assignment. The custodian staff, under the direction of Mr. Howard Hensley, strives to keep the buildings and grounds in a respectable condition. Mr. Max Strange and Mrs. Willie Mae Terrell assist Mr. Hensley in the various duties around the school. The cafeteria staff is responsible for preparing the meals for eight hundred and forty-one students. Under the heading Mrs. Grace Everett the staff, prepare, serve and clean-up after each delicious meal. Each student has his choice of vegetables, salads, meats and desserts. From this selection the student is able to enjoy a hot, nutritious dinner in a wholesome atmosphere.
