MATH AND SCIENCE BRGADE O R Mr. Moore and Mr. Williams confer on a math problem. KNOWLEDGE The Math Department, under the direc- tion of Miss Hess, offers courses in math, basic algebra, Alegebra I, and II, geometry, and advanced math. The Science Department offers six courses on both basic and advanced levels. General science provides an introduction to the advanced courses. Earth science is available to advanced freshmen. General and advanced biology offer students experience in Zool- ogy, botany, and genetics. Chemistry and physics provide a background for college- bound students. Miss Martha Hess must be grading an A paper. Mr. Edwards, Mr. Orr and Mr. Ward complete a conference. 22

E GLISH TEACHES SKILL s si 'Q Under the direction of Miss Glover, the English Department is constantly striving to help students meet their English require- ments. The ever expanding English program has so widened its curriculum that two more teachers were added to the staff. Newly initiated elective courses have been offered to the Junior and Senior English students. This program enables the students to choose four areas which he feels would benefit him the most.
