V. - BEHIND THE SCENES Page 91 The advisor to the TV News Club is Mr. CONGRESSMAN SAMUEL STRATTON Sano. Under his direction it has developed into one of the largest clubs in our school. Its membership numbers one hundred twenty boys and girls from all three grades. Be- sides the technical production of the morning programs and the specials, the students are responsible for all scripts. One of the special broadcasts is the Public Affairs program, Insight . Guests on this program have included Erastus Corn- ing, Mayor of Albany; Robert Beyers, Chief of the Guilderland Police Force; Billy Kidd, Olympic skiing great ; and Samuel Stratton, Representative from the 29th Congressional district. The club participates in the New York State Council of the Arts Film and Media Festival and has received excellent ratings. TV Club has been featured on Channel WMHT and has made many appearances on Student Spectrum, a show produced by WRGB on Channel 6. The entire school benefits from Mr. Sano's work with his crew and we thank him for his tireless efforts to keep us aware of happenings . MR. SANO, Director of T. V. News Page 92
