1922 l- MIRAGE -l-- 1922 Gllasz- nam We spent these years together Mixing victory with defeat, It's a simple way of learning Take the bitter with the sweet. Yes we're sure to go to college For our lives are just begun, And we'll never cease our learning 'Till the sands of life are run. As students of this High School We have tried to do our best, Always trying to be cheerful And ready to help the rest. We are sweeping on toward June And the time the Senior dreads, We are facing our Commencement, With this running through our heads. Here's to the dear old High School VVhere we spent our Senior year, Here's to the good old High School That we've rocked with cheer on cheer. When these last few days are over And we've sung our closing tune, Here's to our future, boys! When we graduate in June,

-T 1922 -- MIRAGE -- 1922 - Qiflisinrg nf 011.21221 uf 'ZZ FRESHMEN YEA R. We entered high school full of pep, green as grass, but willing to learn. There were sixteen of us altogether, those still in the :lass now, besides Herbert Rushton, Beulah Wyatt, Graydon Shillito, Pearl Allison, Lillian Coon, and Lloyd Coon. We were one of the largest classes to enter Farnhamville High School. The Faculty was Prof. H. I. Carrel, Miss Hanks and Miss Honetschlager, who was our Domestic Science instructor. We wonder if she has found another class ,who could wash sherbet glasses as well f?J as we did? ' SOPHOMORE YEAR When we came back in the fall of '19, live of our members failed to show up. One new addition was made, as Mary Priestley joined us and stayed until Christmas of 1921. This year the Faculty was Prof. Carrel,. Miss Cozzens and Miss Strand. We also indulged in class color fights this year, much to the grief of some of the Seinors of '20 fask 'lErnie Dchrman and Doc Erritt how they got down from the roofj. We even shone in athletics, when Clarence Scharff and Lowell Allison became first teamers. JUNIOR YEAR In 1920 we enteled as Juniors and a more happy-go-lucky, fun-loving class would be hard to find. The Faculty remained unchanged except that Miss Keller took the place of Miss Strand, with whom we stumbled through Caesar. The most im- portant social event of this year was the banquet which we gave the Seniors of '21. Did any: ne whisper 'LWhen do we eat the nuts? SENIOR YEAR In 1921, We came in a very select, exclusive, dignified bunch. There was a com- plete change of Faculty, it consisting of Prof. Ballard, Miss Briggs and Miss Hen- derson. A more peppy bunch of H. S. teachers could not be found. Hard work was administered in large doses, in the form of a Carnival. COur ice cream would have been quite a success if Rye and Scry hadn't swallowed the junket and drank the vanillaj We also put out our Mirage in which Vida demonstrated her genius by editing an ode entitled Ivory cr Wood, Which? ffound elsewhere in this book. This class has always put the Purple and Gold on top.
