Student Government Association Students Exercise Self-Government The SGA plays an important role at FHS. Giving students a chance to voice their opinions in a democratic society, it provides an opportunity for the students to make decisions on school affairs. Among their projects are homecoming, publishing the student handbook, and sponsoring other school activities. Headed by Jimmy Wooten and advised by Mr. Sam Worthington, the SGA is also responsible for the monitors in the halls each period. The council is elected by homerooms. The members are given a chance to pre- view the business world by taking part time jobs, supervised by Mr. Forbes, and the employer.
