MISS JUDITH JOYNER received the annual GOOD CITIZEN AWARD presented each year to a senior girl by the Benjamin May Chapter of the Daughters of the American Revolution. BOYS ' ArsTO G-II LS ' STATE Each year fovir outstanding students, two girls and two boys, are chosen to attend Girls ' and Boys ' State during the summer preceeding their senior year. MISS DAIL HARRIS and MISS JUDITH JOYNER went to Girls ' State in Greensboro, sponsored by the American Legion Auxiliary. The American Legion selected JACK WRIGHT and JIM DILDA to go to Boys ' State in Chapel Hill. 16

TUB ST-CriDE3IsrT Four years ago the Student Association was a new and novel feature in the school. It has become one of the essential parts of the school organization. Working with the faculty and the administration, it serves as a student voice in how the school is run. Mr. Harvey Russ, Advisor, and Ernie Petteway, President, discuss future plans for the S, G.
