It is planted and carefully nurtured until it germinates tiny roots and begins to push its way up through the surrounding soil. And then— a twig, the first leaves, the tree grows taller and stronger. Finally, the tree bears fruit; the unusual shapes and sizes of every description enchant us. In the beginning is the child, faltering as he enters school the first day. Then he begins to 1 e a rn. . .quickly. His wisdom bears fruit and becomes sounder with each passing year. The fruits branch not only into the academic world, but also into the extracurricular world.
