WHEN THE CLASS OF 1963 MARCHES ITS 6 TONS, The Class of 1963 entered F.C.H.S. in the fall of 1959 with 134- members. Senior initiation settled us down, and we were able to organize into a class. We elected Student Council representatives, Kathy Higgs, Ron Manock, and Don Boyer, and then chose Elaine Beecher, Judy Hagaman, and Joyce Nannen to lead us. Our first Homecoming was an exciting event with Sharon Collister and Judy Hagaman as Queen At- tendants. We concluded the year by hosting the an- nual Freshman Eighth-Grade Dance. As sophomores, we returned joyfully for another memorable year. Mike Manuel, JoAnn VVolfgang and Sharon Collister were selected as class officers, and Star Watkins was added to our representation on the Student Council. We worked hard on our Homecom- ing float, Fly to Victory, and received top honors as a reward with Joyce Nannen and Judy Hagaman representing us as sophomore Queen Attendants. The activities of our junior year kept us well oc- cupied. Sharon Collister was our new Student Council addition, and under the guidance of Bob McCrae, Carolyn Sheckler, Judy Hagaman, and Carl Barna- bee, we devised an unforgettable Homecoming. In addition to our festive decorations, we again won first place with our fioat, Potters in Dutch, with Star Watkins and Judy Hagarnan attending the Home- coming royalty. The next step was to present our Junior Play, entitled The Little Dog Laughed. After holding various fund raising projects, we were able to host a unique prom styled as Showboat. Returning for our final year, we had decreased our number to 90 seniors. Ardently we secured our posi- tion as upperclassmen by initiating the freshmen under the theme of Westward Hof' Next on the agenda was our last Homecoming of high school days. We topped our previous floats by building a spectacular showboat with the theme of Show 'Emf' and once more re- ceived chief recognition. Ed Warner and Carolyn Shecklenwere our King and Queen, accompanied by Senior attendants Mary Jane Gronewold and Elaine Beecher. On December 22, we entertained many gay couples at the Christmas Dance, complete with Santa himself. Our applause winning Senior Play, The Night of January 16th, was presented in April. When the headaches of our final semester tests ceased, we were honored at Baccalaureate and Class Day. Follow- ing these procedures, we said our farewells, received our diplomas, and departed to face the future, taking with us only our memories of four wonderful years at F.C.H.S.
