CLASS HISTORY It you have not guessed the character Witty Watt represents the class of '52. Witty, now out of school, has visited a fortune teller who promises to delve into his past for his amusement. Let's listen in on the conversation. The woman speaks: I see you, Witty Watt, as a proud, energetic and know-it-all freshman just entering Farmington High. Now I see 'Arthur Godfrey and his friends. HO' yes, says Witty Watt, thot was our first freshman dance the 'Sock Hopf 'A larger pumpkin has iust placed itself in my crystal ball. It's a iack o'lantern. 'I remember now, that was the name of the HaIIowe'en dance we gave when we were sophomores Do you remember flying high in the airplane, 'Cupid SpeciaI'? The airplane is flying over a group of hearts. It must be VaIentine's Day. It was.' Wait, wait, It s coming, a vision of Paris That must be our .I Hop Nuet en Paris That was when we featured the Parisian gayety of a sidewalk cafe A crowd of laughing people now appears in my crystal ball I visualize an eccentric family YouCan t Take It Wlth You that s it our lunlor play You appear ln my crystal ball to be waving good bye to someone You have a dnxie cup in one hand What could that mean? We ate Ice cream with the seniors at the Junior Senior Reception The crystal bull says Here Comes Charlie Who was she? In our senior play she was a hillbilly gurl from the Ozarks who became a very sophisticated young lady at the climax of the play Now I see a beautiful girl being crowned There is a crowd of people nearby What was the occasion?
