First Team Basketball Squad ,Lff .ff 'si A Ez- ,, 3 1 f me A A Y 'iii . f J f'g,: X Q K G Manager X i -Q-.ifjrj The season opened with our Homecoming game, October 12, Richland traveled to Farmington and defeated us 78-47, Lois Hanan was high scorer for Farmington with 39 points, October 26th, we journeyed to Argyle only to be defeated 26-21, Hanan was high scorer again with ll and Sue Swan came close behind with 10, On our 3rd game we traveled to Montrose and were defeated again, Our girls were .xo match for Montrose's height, We were beaten 71-56, Lois again being high scorer with 26 points, On November 6th, the tide turned for us, We went to Hillsboro and defeated their sextette 37-22, Hanan pumped in 19 points for Farmington while Sue Swan trailed her with IZ, Bonaparte ventured here November 9th and met with defeat, Although Bonparte led 10-7 at the half, we climbed to the top and defeated then 22-19, Hanan scored 10 points, Sue Swan 9. Stockport skinned us on our home floor November 16th with a score of 58-28, Hanan scored 15 points for the Wildcats while Sue Swan scored 9, But the next game found us at Cantril, Hanan scored 21 points, letting us win a close victory of 32-29, Then on November 27th we were defeated 30-25 by Birmingham on their home floor, Hanan and Sue Swan were high scorers for Farmington with 12 and ll points but even though we lost we played our hardest, Following this game we played a return game with Sponsored by: FYE'S PLACE, Farmington, Iowa 37

Stockport on their floor, Again they defeated us. Lois Hanan scored 16 points for us but still we were beaten 40-25, December 7th we went to Douds and were defeated 42-29 in spite of Hanan's 20 points, Keosauqua came here December 11th and defeated us 48-33, Hanan scored a big 28 points, Argyle played us our return game December 14-th, We defeated them by 18 points this time, Hanan scored 21 points, Sue Swan 10, The score was 35-17, On December 20th, we went to Bonaparte and beat them for the second time this sea- son, The score was 50-45 with Hanan scoring 33 points and Sue Swan 12, january 4th, we went to Selma, Selma defeated us 46-33, Hanan scored 18 points, Sue Swan scored 10, Next, we played Milton and were defeated again 50-34, Hanan was high scorer with 25 points, We met Cantril for the first game of the County Tournament at Douds High School, We won a victory over them of 33-32, Hanan was high scorer with 15 points, Next, Douds de- feated us 42-31 even though we tried hard to defeat the panthers, Our first gameafter the county tournament was played with Montrose on our home floor and we won a close victory of 54-53, Hanan was high scorer with 41 points, jones and Bruggeman played a good game, keeping Miller down to 21 points, We played the next game with the Keosauqua Warriors at Keosauqua, We played a hard game and won 34-28, Hanan, again was the high scorer having 23 points, We played our first game of the sectional tournament at Donnellson january 31st, We defeated Hillsboro with a wide margin of 63-27, Hanan was high scorer with 31 points and Sue Swan followed with 16, Our next game was with Donnellson i.n the semi-finals, They defeated us 75-47 with Hanan scoring 28 points and Sue Swan 16, In the consolation game we played Stockport and were defeated 46-34, Sue Swan was high scorer having 16 points and Hanan next with 12, Denmark won the sectional over Donnellson by 1 point in the last 3 seconds of the game, Sponsored by: HANAN INSURANCE, Farmington, Iowa
