Semor Class Hlstory The year 1940 was a very important one ln hlstory lt was then that thirty or more healthy actlve boys and gxrls began thelr career at the Farmlngton school The next year was qulte the same Same people same places They were Just a ltttle blgger and a llttle smarter and just as ornery But with Mrs Lamborn s help we all went to the third grade In the thlrd grade we had a new member Jom the class He was none other than Ottls jenkms The fourth grade brought another new face that of joan Stansbury In grade flve there were four new people First joe Stansbury a very mlschlevous lxttle guy Next was Loretta House and of course there was johnny jones too Between johnny and joe the fnfth graders got pretty exasperatxng And then there was Verla Gray and her shmy red curls and a temper to match The sixth grade found some new kids too There was a cute little blonde Eunlce Cazey It was then that Antta Pittman Jomed the crew Also Martha Ann Rice and Eugene Mohr got mxxed up ln the class that year too ln our seventh year of school we found Pat Grossman gettmg used to our ways lvarge Swan and Don Ted McCracken jolned us maklng Z1 pupils to graduate from the Sth grade Then came htgh school Seventeen of our old classmates along wlth fxve new members enrolled tn the Freshman Class under the dxrectlon of Miss Shnpley The fwe new members were Edith Brletensteln Pat Calhoun Roland Batten and Ramona and VK lnona Haffner During our Freshman year we lost Teddy Bourlard on account of Illness After many fear some hours the long awaited Lnltlatlon day finally came but everyone survtved lt and found out they worrled for nothmg Our Sophomore year was maxnly studymg One blg time was when we got to tmtlate the Freshmen Agam this year we had the bad luck of loslng joe Stansbury but only for weeks and he was back again The hlghllghts ln our juntor year were our JUJIIOI' Senior Banquet on April 28th a night whlch many of us will remember for a long tlme Also our class rmgs which we recewed November 8th On October 13th we gave the junior Play In Again Out Agam lt seems as though the class of 52 ns rather unlucky Delores House was laid up for stx weeks followmg a car accldent but was able to fmlsh the school year wlth us Our Senior year was qulte full Flrst off we chose class officers Next we journeyed to Ottumwa to have our plctures taken Then very soon we started work on our annual Chrxstmas tnme found the Senlors decoratmg the balcony We are looking forward to Baccalaureate May 18th and Commencement May 22nd To fmance our Senxor trtp we sold Chrlstmas cards all occaslon cards statlonery had bake sales and partxes Mr and Mrs Davxs gulded us through our Senlor year Q O . , . . , - . . . . . A Look Into The Future We have just flnxshed takxng a trlp U1 a space shlp ln the year 1972 Thrs IS what we saw of the graduatlng class of 1952 Roland Batten ls statloned an South Amerxca selling Christmas cards to the natwes We move up mto Wyoming where we fmd joe Benedrct has married Suzanne Swan and they are runmng a ranch called the Flylng Swan Edxth Breltenstem has marrled a fur trapper and they are lwlng 111 Alaska She doing part tlme moclellng of the furs Next we fmd that Pat Calhoun has marrred Charlxe Stansbury They are lwmg ln Callfornla ralsxng gooseberrles for a llvmg We passed Ramona and Wmona wxth their husbands travelmg ln house trailers all over the country We go to France where we fxnd Delores House workmg rn a nlght club as a magxclan In Mlchrgan we fmd our old buddy Mary Keller running a Cadlllac flrm Her motto Buy a Cadlllac from me and you wxll always wlsh you had a Mercury We contmue our Journey mto Mrssourl where we fmd Stuart Kerr wlth hrs wrfe runnmg the mule tram from Anson to Keokuk In Washington we frnd Don Ted McCracken IS worklng with Lonzo j Edgar Hoover thought hlm so brllllant that he turned over hls office to htm We stopped ln at Madlson Square Garden where we found Lola Mclntosh rs a woman wrestler Her tltle ls Knock Em Down Mclntosh In New York we fund Gene Mohr teachmg dancmg for gurls The slgn on hrs door says Come Ona My House Whxle we were ln Kentucky we spotted Don Smith rldmg Beetlebornb m the Derby I ns a llttle slow for htm we thought after rememberlng htm hot roddlng Ln school We found Eunice Cazey marrned to Larry Metzger of Donnellson They are running a gas statxon We went to a very nice nlght spot where we found Pat Grossman She has married Richard Hlllgartner and they have their own dance band They are dancmg thelr way across the country Next we found joe and joan Stansbury have just won the State Twm Contest The prize was a contract nn Hollywood In Afrlca we found Vesta Stansbury workmg hard at being a mlssnonary She lakes her work very much although she lS not gettlng paid for nt As we arrwe ln Farmmgton we fmd Margery Swan who ns now 37 still waltmg for Charles Elder to get home from the pipe luxe , - . u - ll . . . . . . . . is I I . . . , I . . .
