AIRCRAFT OPERATIONS I if A h I As far back as ancient Greek civilization, man has had the dream of propelling himself through space with the swiftness and agility of the bird. The twentieth century has seen this dream become a reality. lf, upon entering a ballroom, your date casts an aeronautical eye on the dance floor and figures its length, width and surface for a miniature landing field, don't feel slighted-he's an A O student. You are relaxed in your bunk listening to the weatherman sing his litany of weather conditions. Suddenly your roommate orders you to get out the sand bags for you'll not fly tonight. Before you consider him beyond help, ask him if he takes A O. Lastly, when your DC-6 taxis smoothly down the runway, give a nod of thanks toward the control tower. An A O grad may have guided you in. We wish our A O boys success in the safer and surer planning of our highways of the sky.
