Junior Class Historq p The spring of '24 finds us closing the second year of our stay at Nyssa, with the same hope and enthusiasm that accompanied us at the first forma-' tion of the Class of '25. J Our class history is a wide and varied one, the class being composed of three sections, the hrst entering in September, 1922, the next in December and the last in March. Soon after our entrance the historical initiation took place, at which we, 32 strong, were rounded and polished to the complete satisfaction of the then, Junior class. Despite the fact that our class entered in sections, we soon showed our ability by defeating both the Seniors and the juniors in inter-class basketball and by having over fifty per cent of the class scholastically mentioned. It took some time for fthe various sections of the class to get together but we finally decided that united we stand, and divided we fall, and in the fall of '23, undertook our first great problem, together, which was the initia- tion of the Freshmen. I We had not yet forgotten the trials and tribulations which we had been subjected to, and we decided that this would be reciprocated to the full extent of our ability. The initiation proved to be a huge success and brought forth acclamation from the various members of the school. We are now arranging for the annual junior jromf' It is to be held at i': 48171 1 1 I 1 I I I ' 1 J 1 I I 1 ' 1 1 I I I In . 1 11: I P! Our class has not as yet turned out any outstanding figures in athleticsg but a fair percentage of all the Varsity teams have been composed of Juniors. Borer, has made his letter in two major sports at the school and Sorg in one. In scholastics, however, Smythe, one of our eminent juniors, has emergedwith the highest school honors for three successive terms. It is with a great deal of regret that we bid farewill to the Seniors. VVe are grateful for the assistance and advice they have rendered us.
