was .... . . 'tt - f Fla Student Association Whenever we have a community of individualsg whether they be citizens of a mighty republic, or merely students in an institute of learning, we must have some form of government. Hereiat Nyssa we have such a means of self-expression. We are very ably governd by our self-organized Student Association. This body has supplied a long-felt need at S. I. A. A. The purpose is: to bind the students into a closer fellowship, to encour- age co-operation between the student body and faculty and to maintain school traditions. .. The Student Association has now reached that stage of its career where it can point with satisfaction and pride to its many achievements. The governing body of the Association is known as the Student Council. Upon this group rests the responsibility of rendering linal decisions on any matters brought up. It is composed of nine members-a senior president and vice-president, a junior secretary and treasurerg and representatives from each class. All Aggies are united in their opinion that the Association has been the means of strengthening Nyssa spirit. VVe sincerely hope that the good work started by it shall continue on-and on. E' Q s: CT' The Varsity Club is an organization, steadfast and loyal, to the interest of Nyssa, organized mainly to promote athletics, increase general activities, college spirit and encourage sports. ,Its members are composed of the athletic leaders of the student body, and it is their aim to raise the standard of athletics to a higher level. The Varsity Club is still in a budding stage, having been organized in 1920, by six members of the student body, who were intensely interested in athletics and in having athletics receive the proper recognition at the school. Since then the club has grown enormously. Upon being awarded the coveted A, a student automatically becomes eligible for membership in the club. The Varsity Club feels that it has attained its purpose in the past and it is with a fervent hope for the future success of the club, that its graduat- ing members depart. 5 OFFICERS B W.
